What we want from a bartender

Cocktail, wine and beer knowledge (and if you can make great coffee, even better!)

Qualifications and Skills

Barista experience: At least 1-2 years of barista experience
Beer and wine expertise: Deep knowledge of coffee bean origins, brewing techniques, and equipment (espresso machines, grinders, pour-over, etc.).
Leadership skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability to train and motivate a team.
Attention to detail: Ability to maintain quality and consistency, even during busy service.
Creativity: Passion for mixology, craft cocktails, and hospitality
Customer service: Friendly, approachable, and able to create a welcoming environment for customers.
Problem solving: Ability to handle issues quickly and professionally, whether it’s customer feedback or equipment troubleshooting.

Barista

Are you an experienced barista who knows their way around an espresso machine and loves the art of crafting the perfect cup? If you're passionate about coffee and looking for a place where your skills and creativity will shine, we want you on our team at Moody's.

The Role

As an experienced barista, you’ll be an essential part of our café, responsible for creating high-quality coffee beverages and providing top-notch customer service. You’ll use your expertise to ensure that every cup is brewed to perfection, from espresso shots to intricate latte art. You’ll also have the chance to showcase your creativity with drink specials and contribute to the overall coffee program.

Key Responsibilities

Craft exceptional coffee: Prepare a wide range of coffee beverages (espresso, pour-over, cold brew, etc.) with precision and consistency.
Customer service: Deliver friendly, efficient service, making every customer feel welcome and ensuring they leave with a smile.
Latte art & creativity: Impress our guests with your latte art skills and contribute to creating exciting, seasonal beverages.
Maintain equipment: Ensure all coffee equipment is properly maintained, cleaned, and calibrated to the highest standards.
Mentorship: Share your knowledge and passion with other team members, helping to train and inspire less experienced baristas.
Collaborate with the team: Work closely with the team to maintain a smooth and positive workflow during busy shifts.

What We’re Looking For

Experience: At least 1-2 years of barista experience in a fast-paced café or coffee shop.
Coffee knowledge: Strong understanding of coffee brewing techniques, espresso machines, grinders, and milk steaming.
Customer-focused: A positive attitude and excellent communication skills. You love interacting with people and making their day.
